Painting of a Gray Cat

It's been a while since I painted a cat portrait. Well... the time has come :)
I tried to keep this one more painterly than usual, and I really like the calm yellow/turquoise background.
I used Kyle Webster oil brushes for this portrait.

Cat Lovers Jazz Up Your Wardrobe!

This one is for all of you cat lovers!

Recently I've created a cool sketchy portrait of a cat, and it was so snazzy, that I decided to put it on a Tshirt.

Take a look at the original Cat Art

Simple, sophisticated and cool!

On a Tshirt it looks just as good :)

Cool huh? Get it here

I've found 3 more cool cat shirts that were created by other artists, they are pretty slick!

Digitally Painted Alley Cat

Hi there,

Last week I wanted to draw something quickly, since I'm a pet portrait artist, I paint mostly dogs. This time I wanted to sketch a cat. Quickly and loosely. I finished the sketched and started to paint it freely. One thing lead to another and I found myself looking at a dirty, tough alley cat, lying in a dark street. I kept the sketchy lines in order to keep a rough and urban ambiance.

I really liked the result and decided to share it with you.

If you like this Piece you can purchase it on my Redbubble Shop

Until next time! Have a wonderful day :)

A Cat (Old Children Book Style)

Many years ago I got the classic Alice in Wonderland as a birthday gift. The book as you know is magnificent, but the illustrations are marvelous too, they immediately captured my eyes. In a matter of fact many illustrations of those old children books have a magical and mysterious feel.

Those images waited in the back of my mind for many years... Until now.

Two weeks ago I took some photos at the local dog shelter, one of the photos (of a cat) wasn't so good, but the composition and the shadows have triggered my imagination. Take a look at the picture:

I started to sketch using graphite, and those old children books images took over the paper. I really liked the final result:

I definitely going to sketch some more images using this magical style.

Cat Tie - Veterinarians and Pet Shop Owners Check It Out!

Hi there!

Two weeks ago I've created a funny, grumpy cat illustration. It was originally created as a Tshirt design, but I've checked the design on a tie, and I just loved the result! I think it would be great for people who work with pets, like veterinarians, pet shop workers etc. Check it out!

Digital Art - Black Cat

Hi there!

Who doesn't love black cats? They are adorable, aren't they? hahaha A lot of people are still afraid of those animals, believing they will bring them bad luck. Well... I must confess, those creatures look majestic (or diabolic to some people), with their dark fur and their hypnotizing green eyes.
Few years ago while I was eating breakfast outdoors, I've noticed a huge black cat fighting and punishing other cats, who have tried to reach for the leftovers. After a while he was walking towards me without a fear, with an arrogant expression on his face. Luckily I had my camera, take a look at this tough bully.

Scared? :)
His eyes were huge and so green, and the pupils... well... he truly looked like the devil :)

I was so impressed with his image, so a few years after I've decided to create a line art or a colorful sketch that will deliver the same facial expression. I wanted to be able to recreate the same hypnotizing eyes effect.
I was using illustrator, to build the basic sketch, and I put an extra effort on the eyes.
Take a look:

It is really a simple image, but it has so much character, and I just love the contrast and the vibrant colors.

Hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for visiting!
