Hi there,
Last week I wanted to draw something quickly, since I'm a pet portrait artist, I paint mostly dogs. This time I wanted to sketch a cat. Quickly and loosely. I finished the sketched and started to paint it freely. One thing lead to another and I found myself looking at a dirty, tough alley cat, lying in a dark street. I kept the sketchy lines in order to keep a rough and urban ambiance.
I really liked the result and decided to share it with you.

Digitally Painted Dachshund
Hi there!
This time I want to share with you my latest work - A digitally painted portrait of a Dachshund.
It's just a little taste of my Dog Art. In every Portrait I give a contemporary and urban feel, a little edgy and rough touch. I try to make those portraits as lively and vibrant as possible, after all, those pets give us so much joy, aren't they?
You can find many more portraits at my site DigitalDogPortraits.com and to order your very own pet portraits - Satisfaction Guaranteed!
So without further ado, here is Gabi :
Isn't he cute, what do you think?
I created a short video that shows the painting process (of other dog) in high speed - check it out!
Until next time! Have a lovely day :)

Monday at The Beach - Watercolor
Hi there,
I love the beach, unfortunately I don't visit there quite often. It is only 25 min. drive from my house but I rarely went there this year...
This week I decided to enjoy the nature, on Monday morning! I thought that it would be calm and quiet on the weekdays, and I was right! Only few people were there, no shouting, kids or loud families. Just the water, the sand and the sky. I took my camera and some watercolor equipment just in case.
After two hours I felt inspired and gave it a try, it was windy, the paper got some sand and my dog began to bark and pull me. It wasn't ideal , but I managed to create something on the spot, and I liked it!
Allow me to share with you a photo of the place, and my watercolor painting.
If you like the painting, you can purchase a high quality print in my online store.
It felt so good to paint nature on the spot, I think I will do it more and more.
Thanks for visiting, see you next time!

Quick and Loose Portrait of Ringo Starr
I love the Beatles, and I guess that many of you love them too...
Naturally we all been focusing on Paul, John and George. Most of us have been ignoring Ringo, never considering him as a real singer and composer. Fortunately, I've been listening to the 'Record Store Day' on the radio, two weeks ago. Between all the songs there, they broadcasted an old Ringo's album from 1976. I liked it very much, and wanted to hear more of his stuff. His early records are real gems! I couldn't stop hearing them, especially his Country Album "Beaucoups of Blues".
Check out this lovely song (from another album Ringo's Rotogravure) - not of his best, but quite entertaining :)
Well, after hearing Ringo all day, I unintentionally started to doodle his face, real quick. Just loose and fun portrait. A small tribute to this great fun loving musician.

Heart Bleed Bug Shirts
Have you got the emails who asked you to change your passwords? Recently many websites have asked their users to change their passwords due to a dangerous bug in the security code. If you haven't changed it yet, please do it immediately, this bug was alive for more than 2 years, and some vicious hackers may have took advantage of it. In other words our personal information was at risk for more than 2 years! You can find more information about this bug in http://heartbleed.com/
The name and logo of this bug, have contributed to the public awareness, and the immediate actions that one should take. However, they generated funny takes on shirts and other products. Those shirts are 'geek chic' hit!
Here is my take on the phenomenon :)

"Falling Apart" - Digital Paint
Hi there,
I love to paint with watercolor, it is such a lively and dynamic medium. Sometimes the color blends in unexpected way, sometimes we can decorate the painting with some colorful dripping, and the final result is always impressive and surprising.
I wanted to do the same, but with a digital painting. I wanted to recreate the dripping and the blending effect, I thought it would look great. Using the traditional medium, it is more fun, because you can only control some of the process, however I recreated that feeling, though it was carefully planned, and I had a 100% control of the end result.
I wanted to paint something unsual, and intense. I started with a loose sketch, and it kind of built itself.
The dripping color and the blend are there to make a point (and to make the painting stand out).

The Beatles - Line Art / Pop Art
Hi there,
Recently we all heard about the reunion of the Beatles... well, the mini reunion of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at the David Letterman's show. I love the Beatles since I was a child, and I never stop listening to their songs. I wanted to create some Line Art of them, to capture each member's characteristics in few lines. The result looks funny and cool. I decided to create two versions - a regular one and a pop art.
Cool huh :)
If you are a Beatles fan, and like them too, you can purchase this piece on a Tshirt, Poster or other products. Click here for the Line Art piece. For the Pop Art piece Click Here.
